About Adithan Arunachalam

A National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Adithan Arunachalam was one of 15,000 finalists named from a pool of 1.5 million high school students. Having studied at KC High in Chennai, India, Adithan Arunachalam took the PSAT/NMSQT and scored 1500 out of 1520. He exceeded the cutoff for international students with the PSAT, and for his SAT, scored 1560 out of 1600. He was in the 99th Nationally Representative Sample Percentile and 99th SAT User Percentile.

Adithan Arunachalam earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma from KC High. He studied math, English, Spanish, economics, computer science, and history. While at the school, he participated in the World Scholars Cup together with two other classmates. They participated in debate, quiz, and creative writing competitions, placing 28th out of 300 in the local round and 13th out of 2,000 in the global round held in Cape Town, South Africa. They were named finalists for the competition, but were unable to attend the finals at Yale University. Adithan Arunachalam had the highest medal tally in his team (15 medals).

Adithan Arunachalam is interested in political science, computer science, and sports such as cricket and soccer. He was the only high school student interning at Professionals Forum, a nonprofit that enhances civic engagement in India. Mr. Arunachalam also completed the Google IT Support Professional Certificate, captained his high school cricket team, and played as a senior member of the school soccer team.
